Clara the Owl | Brain Buddy Weighted Stuffed Animal

For the child who needs to hear: “We can make sense of this together, one step at a time.”

Meet Clara, the Brain Buddy for Clarity. This crocheted, weighted owl brings a familiar character into shared stories and conversations about understanding what’s happening, organizing thoughts, and knowing where to begin.

Imagine sitting together when your child looks at an activity and says, “I don’t know what to do.” With Clara beside you, pause before adding more instructions. Talk about what feels confusing, show one small step, and leave room for questions. Clara’s character gives you a friendly starting point for that conversation.

In the Brain Buddy teaching, Clara represents Clarity and is paired with the occipital lobe and visual processing centers. This pairing is part of the educational framework, not a claim that the stuffed animal changes brain function.

Start a conversation with: “Which part feels confusing, and what would help us make it clearer?”

Clarity is one of the seven essential needs at the heart of the Brain Buddies, alongside Stability, Connection, Acceptance, Value, Honesty, and Trust.
